STT GmbH is proud to be part of a leading research group driving innovative solutions for large heat storage tanks (GWS). Our focus is on the development of a special sealing for prefabricated elements as well as an innovative concrete admixture for ultra-high performance concrete (UHPC). These components are crucial to ensure the tightness, durability and load-bearing capacity of the storage tanks under extreme conditions. The aim is to reduce costs, minimize heat loss and enable higher storage temperatures.

Through our work, we are helping to make large-scale heat storage systems more efficient and sustainable. These storage systems play a key role in modern heating networks by storing surplus energy and making it available again when needed. In this way, we are making an important contribution to the energy transition, promoting the use of renewable energies and supporting the transition to a sustainable and climate-friendly energy future.
